Geographic Information System (GIS)

GIS is a tool that allows users to create interactive queries (user created searches), analyze the spatial information, edit data, maps, and present the results of all these operations. Presented below are a few of the software that GIS supports.

QGIS: QGIS lets you browse and create map data on your computer and it supports vector, raster, and database formats.

GRASS: Geographic Resources Analysis Support System, commonly referred to as GRASS, is a Geographic Information System (GIS) used for data management, image processing, graphics production, spatial modelling, and visualization of many types of data.
